Professional regulations:
My activity is based on the ‘Licence for the professional practice of medicine without appointment’ according to the Heilpraktikergesetz § 1 Abs. 1. The licence is limited to the field of psychotherapy. It was granted to me by the competent health authority in Munich and, apart from the reference to the restriction to the field of psychotherapy, it does not stipulate a binding professional title to be used. For legal reasons, I use the professional title ‘Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie’ or ‘HP (Psych.)’ to clearly distinguish myself from the profession of psychological psychotherapists and to emphasise the restriction of the licence to the field of psychotherapy.
